MAGICIAN (Kade) received a revision pass today. The alignment block had a discrepancy between hiddenAllegiance and primaryAffiliation that the writers flagged as potentially spoiler-adjacent in a way that was not intentional.
The field is now consistent with where the character starts the mission, not where they end up. That distinction matters more than it might appear. Dossiers are meant to read as mission intake documents, not retrospectives. The character’s trajectory is in the story, not in the file.
Dossiers describe entry state. They are not a contract with the narrative.
Why this matters
Kade’s role is the most technically specialized on the crew. The writers needed the baseline to be clean before drafting any scenes that require him to make judgment calls under pressure. A dossier that leaks the arc contaminates the writers’ room as much as it would a reader.
If you cloned the Codex entry before this revision, the previous version will differ on the alignment section. The public build reflects the corrected file.
